The Director of DLG, Kado Zangpo and Mr. Karpo Drukpa of Bhutan Philantrophy Ventures Ltd. officially launched the department\u2019s first ever website in a small ceremony on the afternoon of October 8, 2021 which was attended by officials from DLG, DAI, ICT MoHCA and also virtually attended by representatives of EU Delegation and EUTACS.<\/p>\n
The project was financed by EUTACS and developed by Sonax IT Consultancy, a local IT firm in Thimphu who secured the contract after two rounds of assessments from among numerous other bidders.<\/p>\n
Director Kado Zangpo, who oversaw the launch ceremony expressed that the website is aimed at promoting transparency in information-sharing by acting as a window between the public and Local Governments.<\/p>\n
