\nBhutanese entering or exiting the country shall be required to produce a passport or citizenship
\nidentity card and complete immigration formalities at all land ports of entry\/exit with effect
\nfrom 23 September 2022. This includes Bhutanese exiting or entering the country after visiting
\ntowns across the border for any purpose or duration.
\nHowever, inter-Dzongkhag travel via India in public\/private vehicles shall continue to be
\nfacilitated based on CPMS registration.<\/p>\n
\nOther residents of Bhutan shall be required to complete immigration formalities at all land
\nports of entry\/exit on the basis of the permit issued by the Department of Immigration or
\nDepartment of Civil Registration and Census.<\/p>\n
\nForeigners shall continue to be facilitated entry and exit in accordance with existing
\nimmigration requirements and formalities.<\/p>\n
