On the auspicious day of 30th April 2023 coinciding with the 10th day of the Third Bhutanese Month of Water Female Rabbit Year, His Majesty The King granted dhar to appoint Trongsa and Gasa Dzongdag.
Wangdi Gyeltshen, who was serving as the Director of Bhutan Food and Drug Authority, was appointed as the Trongsa Dzongdag, while Jigme Namgyel, who was serving as the Director of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at JDWNRH was appointed as the new Gasa Dzongdag.
