The Ministry of Home Affairs extended a warm welcome to His Excellency, Tshering who assumed the role of the new Home Minister following the conferment of Ministerial Dakyen by His Majesty the King on the auspicious day of January 28, 2024 coinciding with the 18th day of the 11th Month of the Water Female Rabbit Year
Hailing from Taba, Thimphu, Lyonpo Tshering holds Bachelor of Science in visual Communications from Madras University in Chennai.
Prior to assuming this significant role, His Excellency was serving as the Treasurer at the Office the People’s Democratic Party. He also served as the Member of Parliament (MP) from North Thimphu Constituency during the Second Parliament.
The Ministry of Home Affairs offers its heartiest Tashi Delek to His Excellency and looking forward to his successful leadership.
