On the auspicious day of 27th August 2025, coinciding with the 4th day of the Seventh Month of the Water Female Snake Year, the Ministry of Home Affairs appointed a new Dzongrab for Lhuentse Dzongkhag.
Hon’ble Nangsi Lyonpo conferred the Dhar to appoint Mr. Norbu Tenzin as the Lhuentse Dzongrab.
Mr. Norbu Tenzin, formerly serving as Senior Cultural Officer at Punakha Dzongkhag, brings over 20 years of experience as a Cultural Officer across various Dzongkhags including Dagana, Trashigang, and Pemagatshel. His extensive and diverse expertise in local governance marks a significant step towards strengthening governance and promoting rural development in the Dzongkhag.
He was appointed through an open competition recently organized by the Ministry.
