The Director of DLG, Kado Zangpo and Mr. Karpo Drukpa of Bhutan Philantrophy Ventures Ltd. officially launched the department’s first ever website in a small ceremony on the afternoon of October 8, 2021 which was attended by officials from DLG, DAI, ICT MoHCA and also virtually attended by representatives of EU Delegation and EUTACS.
The project was financed by EUTACS and developed by Sonax IT Consultancy, a local IT firm in Thimphu who secured the contract after two rounds of assessments from among numerous other bidders.
Director Kado Zangpo, who oversaw the launch ceremony expressed that the website is aimed at promoting transparency in information-sharing by acting as a window between the public and Local Governments.
