His Majesty The King, while in Laya for the Royal Highland Festival, granted Dhar to appoint Tenzin Chophel as the new Gasa Dzongdag.
Tenzin Chophel has been serving as the interim Dzongdag of Gasa since march this year. Prior to that he was serving as the Director of the Directorate services, Ministry of Health.
